About Em

I'm Emily, a 'pleasantly bonkers' 22 year old traveller and language enthusiast. I tend to describe myself as rather optimistic, far too clumsy and just a little bit dizzy, resulting in ridiculous amount of bruises and silly situations heading my way.  Sometimes I don't wear shoes because I like to feel the realness of the earth beneath my feet and I love meeting people with fire in their eyes. The only thing I can't tolerate is intolerance. Eco-warrior, excessive worrier, daydreamer and strong believer in silver linings... I think you get the idea.

This blog started out as my gap year diary in 2012 and since then has grown and developed along with me.

I write about my experiences because...

1. I have the absolute worst memory in the history of the universe and I don't want to forget a single moment of my adventures or any face I have encountered.

2. I hope to inspire others to travel, to think and to learn, and I just love writing and sharing stories.
